Cooke Anamorphics 1.8x Special Flare lenses are a truly unique anamorphic offering. The Cooke Look once again delivers warm and beautiful skin tones with outstanding anamorphic bokeh, minimal astigmatism, breathing, and low distortion. They are larger in form factor, but usable with an Easyrig, steadicam, and stabilized heads. This Special Flare addition features a revised lens coating that softens primary colors and increases flares. Overall the lenses are greatly improved with the new coating delivering an exceptional image. The greatest difference with the FF 1.8x version is more edge fall off, a shallower depth of field with the same field of view creating a 3D quality especially visible in portraiture.
