The ARRI ALEXA Mini digital camera system is next step in digital acquisition as one of the best capture options for versatile cinematography. Designed with Gimbal, Drone, Remote Head, and Handheld ergonomics in mind ALEXA Mini is the lightest and most compact Arriflex camera yet. Working off of the same sensor as ALEXA and AMIRA, but modified for 4:3 it can work from small documentary shoots to Anamorphic studio setups. It retains the wide dynamic range, low noise floor, and edit friendly workflow. ALEXA Mini can record internal in Arri’s new 4K UHD ProRes 4444 XQ Extended quality as well as internal ArriRaw. ALEXA Mini is designed around a front single lens block carriage and features a body made of carbon fiber weighing in at 5 lbs / 2.3 kg. The camera body’s dimensions come in at a tiny 185mm /7.3″ x 125mm /4.9″ x 140mm 5.5″. It features wireless control from propriatary Arri Applications supported on Ipad, Iphone, and Mac OS X. The built in L-Bus Connector allows wireless lens control and connectivity with the Arri WCU-4 Wireless Control Unit. The ALEXA Mini has various mounting options and can be built in 15mm lightweight configuration or 19mm studio configuration.
